Welcome! We are so happy to have you at Clarke Road!

To make your transition to our school easier, here are some answers to frequently asked questions:

Will I be able to take the school bus to Clarke Road?

School buses are assigned according to your home address. Click here to check if you are eligible for a bus.

When will I get a locker?

Lockers are assigned to all students based on the location of your homeroom class. Lockers will be assigned in your homeroom class on the first day of school. If you do not have a homeroom class, go to the Main Office and they will assign you a locker. Students are required to provide their own combination lock for their locker.

When will I get my timetable?

Student timetables will be available through the parent and student portals on August 23rd and students will be provided with a paper copy on the first day of school in their homeroom class.

Are there student fees?

PLEASE NOTE: We are still waiting on direction from TVDSB regarding student fees for the 2021-2022 school year. At this time, we do not know if student fees will be collected this year.

Students are encouraged to pay their student fees online in advance via School Cash Online. For families that do not pay online, student fees can be paid during the first week of school in the Main Office (cash or cheque only). If you have any questions about student fees, or if you'd like to discuss payment options, please contact your student's Vice-Principal by calling the school at 519-452-2640.

How do I get involved in clubs and sports?

Getting involved in extracurricular activities is a very important part of your high school experience. Click here for a current list of clubs and teams.  To get involved, listen to announcements, follow us on Twitter, or you can find the teacher in charge of the group on the attached list and ask any other questions you may have about involvement.

How many courses will I take each day?

For the 2021-2022 school year, students will take 2 classes per day: 1 in the morning, and 1 in the afternoon. Students will also be on a 10 day cycle, so they will be in the same classes for 1 week, and switch to 2 different classes the following week.

When will I have lunch?

We are still waiting for direction from TVDSB regarding lunch and cafeteria use for the 2021-2022 school year.

Will I get lost?

Yep! You might - we all did on our first day, but that's okay because Clarke Road is such a friendly place, you can ask anybody for directions or come to the office or ask your teacher for help :)

Who will be my teacher?

Each class will have a different teacher and your teacher's name will be shown on your timetable.

I moved! Do I need to tell the school?

Yes. Please call the Main Office at 519-452-2640 or email us at clarkeroad@tvdsb.ca to inform us of any changes to your address, phone numbers, or emergency contact information.

How do I log into the school computers?

Your username is the first 4 letters of your last name + the first 4 letters of your first name + the last 3 digits of your student number (for example: smitjohn123)

Your password is all 9 digits of your student number. Once you log in for the first time, you can change your password to something you will remember.

Your teacher will help you log into the school computers at the beginning of the year.

If you have forgotten your password, tell one of your teachers and they will have our Computer Facilitator reset your password.
